Our users’ trust is of great importance to us, and Distribution Innovation is therefore committed to safeguarding your privacy. Here we will explain how and why we collect and use information about our users and how we take privacy into account.

This privacy statement applies to the product DI Plan & Go in Distribution Innovation.

1. What is personal data and who is responsible?

Personal data is data and assessments that can be attached to a physical individual. This can be, for example, the name, place of residence, phone number, e-mail address or IP address.

Any collection, registration, assembly, storage and disclosure of personal data is called processing of personal data. All processing of personal data in Norway is subject to the Personal Data Act and the Data Inspectorate supervises the law.

The company or entity entitled to decide where personal data is to be used is called a processor and is the entity responsible for processing personal data in accordance with the applicable rules. When you use the service DI Plan & Go, Distribution Innovation is the data processing responsible.

As a subsidiary of Schibsted and Amedia, Distribution Innovation will carry out tasks for those companies.

2. What kind of information do we collect?

We store information when you contact us by sending us an e-mail to the customer center or providing feedback through features in the service so we can answer your questions. We also store information that you register yourself in a comment box, form or similar on our pages.

Information about your device and internet connection

Through technical logs and other tools, we record information about the device and the connection to our services, such as operating system, device manufacturer, browser version, IP addresses, network ID, cookies, and unique identification files. An ad identifier provided by Google or Apple will be sent from our app if you have accepted this in the settings on your phone. If you have accepted this, the battery level information will also be sent. The information means, among other things, that we can customize the display of content to the device you are using and the usage situation you are in.

Information about how to use the services

We collect information about how to use our services. Examples of such information are what pages you visited, the day the visit was made, how long a page was open on your screen, how to navigate the page, any sites you visited before you came to our pages, what features you have used on the page and if you have completed the intended action for the visit. We use this information to improve our services and to provide you with content and marketing communications that are customized to you and your usage patterns.

Information about your geographic location

We will record your geographical location from your IP address, mobile network code, or other forms of more exact location, such as GPS data, if you have approved this in our apps. This information is used to communicate electronic communications like app push, text messages, or email and other content relevant to the area you are in. It might also in the future also include sending you ads.

Information about your user account and customer relationship

We store information about your user account and customer relationship if you are a customer of us. This is information we store to manage your customer relationship, in order to help you use the solution in an optimum way.

If you have previously been a customer with us, we will keep customer history about you for a period of time so that we can provide you with good customer service in the future and provide you with relevant offers and benefits based on your previous customer relationship.

Your information will be shared with others where it is relevant to the purposes as described in this privacy statement. We will not share, sell or convey personal information in any way other than described in this Privacy Statement unless specifically agreed with you.

Information about your use of the Services, such as which of our websites you visit and which browser you used, might be shared with Distribution Innovation’s mother companies Schibsted and Amedia Groups (or operated on behalf of these companies) for the same purposes as described in This Privacy Statement.

Affiliates and Advertisers

Collaborators access certain types of information to convey targeted content or offers through their services. Directly identifying information such as name, address, telephone number, etc. will not be shared without your explicit consent. We also include agreements restricting access to the use of the information and fixing obligations that are in accordance with current privacy legislation.

Public authorities

If imposed by law or there is a suspicion that there have been violations in connection with the use of our services, the information we have stored about you may be disclosed to public authorities.

5. How can you manage, correct or delete the information we have about you?

It is important that the information we store about you is correct and up to date. If you notice an error, we encourage you to contact us so that the information can be corrected. You can also contact us if you want information to be deleted.

We will not store personal information beyond what is necessary to fulfill the purpose of the treatment and the statutory duties we have.
