For many readers, the printed morning newspaper remains an important part of everyday life, part of the morning routine and a familiar presence at the breakfast table.
Dagens Nyheter is Sweden’s largest morning newspaper, and ensuring that each printed edition reaches readers as expected every morning remains a core responsibility.
When Bonnier decided to transition Dagens Nyheter to DI’s systems, the goal was clear: reduce manual handling, eliminate duplicate systems, and create a more efficient and cost-effective process for print production and distribution.

The implementation of Dagens Nyheter was planned using insights gained from the earlier successful transition of Dagens Industri. Those learnings helped shape timelines, risk management, and coordination across the production chain.
Close collaboration between the teams at Dagens Nyheter, Bonnier, DI, and several printing plants was essential. Extensive testing and validation ensured that production flows worked as intended before going live.
