From Sydsvenskan in Malmö to Sundsvalls Tidning in northern Sweden, 44 local newspaper titles have now been implemented on DI's platform.
Why? Make print operations more efficient and help keep local newspapers in print.
‍

Bonnier News Local is one of Sweden's largest local news publishers, with newspapers serving communities in more than 100 municipalities. Its portfolio includes well-known titles such as Helsingborgs Dagblad, Nerikes Allehanda, Jönköpings-Posten and many smaller local newspapers.

Behind every printed edition is a chain of processes that needs to work, day after day. Managing these efficiently becomes increasingly important as print volumes and distribution needs change.

Bringing more operations together

With all 44 titles now implemented, DI's platform provides a common foundation for managing print-related processes across Bonnier News Local.

The shared setup creates opportunities to reduce manual handling, simplify workflows and bring more parts of the production and distribution value chain together.

The implementation also builds on our earlier work with Dagens industri and Dagens Nyheter, further strengthening the collaboration between Bonnier and DI.

Keeping local newspapers in print

For readers, the work behind the scenes should be almost invisible. They simply expect their newspaper to arrive.

For Bonnier, it's about finding more efficient ways to manage the operations that make this possible.

And that's ultimately what we want to help achieve: making it easier and more cost-effective to continue delivering local printed newspapers to readers across Sweden.
